Braid Teacher and Demonstrator Resources

One of the important missions of the Rug Braiders International guild is to teach future rug braiding instructors and demonstrators.  To accomplish this, we offer the following:

 

Teacher Forum:  Monthly Demos and Info Sessions over Zoom for Teachers:  Sundays at 4 pm over Zoom

Sept 21, 2025:  Successful demonstrations

Oct 26, 2025:  Using an overhead camera for teaching

Nov 16, 2025:  Teaching a mug rug class in person

Dec 14, 2025:  Teaching an oval class:  which skills each week

Jan 18, 2026:  Equipment and samples for teaching in person

Feb 15, 2026:  Using "Word" to make handouts

Mar 8, 2026:  Drawing diagrams; inserting diagrams & photos into Word documents

Apr 19, 2026:  Zoom controls for teachers

May 24, 2026:  Recording over Zoom, and uploading class videos  

Jun 21, 2026:  Teaching a chair pad class:  which skills each week
