Classes

Classes are $20/class session.  Most classes are 3 sessions; some are 1 or 2.  Some classes have kits, which cost extra.

Scholarship Information
 RBI Members can apply for $200 scholarships to assist with registration costs.  Five scholarships are provided by the Fundraising/Scholarship Committee.  Apply now:  deadline is Jan 29.

Lodging
Lodging is at Seabeck Conference Center, at the Inn and at the connected annex. There are mostly single rooms, but also some doubles.  Most rooms use bathrooms down the hall; only a couple have en suite bathrooms.

Single:  $495

Guaranteed Single Room:  $660

Each Braider* in a Double:  $495

Double with en suite bath:  $100 extra

*Non-braiding companions:  see below

Commuter options:

with meals, per day:  $95

without meals, per day:  $55

​

Lodging the Evening Before or the Night After:  not possible at the conference site.  Suggestion:  Silverdale, WA is 6 miles away and has hotels:  Oxford Suites, Best Western, Quality Inn, etc., OR hotels near the SeaTac airport.

​

Non-Braiding Companion:

A non-braiding companion who accompanies an attendee, stays in the Conference Center, and eats meals with us.  $350.


Meals / Food

Dinner Thursday - Lunch Sunday
This facility is prepared to make meals for the following specific diets:  Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten-Free, and Dairy-Free.  
 

Airports:
The Seattle/Tacoma International Airport is the closest airport to the conference center.  It is 70 miles or 1 hour, 15 minutes from the conference center.  There are buses available; the guild is also arranging shuttles.

Vendor Tables

Vendor tables are available for $40.  Please keep the items related to rug braiding and other wool crafts.  


Rug Challenge: 

Braided Garden / Mixed Media!!
The guild's Rug Challenges over the years have led to wonderful and innovative creations in the world of Rug Braiding.  Join with us in creating something simple and small..... to complex and large! 

 

"Braided Garden" can be interpreted any way you like, from flower rugs to farm furrows to flower-colored rugs. 

 

"Mixed Media" means that the rug can contain other wool crafts (rug hooking or punching, wool applique, or non-wool items such as metal, wood, or plastic.  The Rug Challenge Rugs will be presented one evening at the conference.  Share your work with us!

Cancellations / Refunds

Our cancellation policy before March 30, 2026 is a refund of registration fee less $50 to cover our costs, and full refund of teacher fees.

On March 31 and after, there will be a refund of $200... (unless you find a replacement for yourself) and no refund of teacher fees. Student will receive all class materials and any kit.

Things to Do Nearby

1.  Visit Pia the Peacemaker who is a Dambo Troll. She is 45 minutes away on Bainbridge Island.  (Photo below)

2.  Hike Guillemot Cove Old Growth Trail with the Stump House (photo below)

3.  Seattle is about 1.5 hours away with a ferry ride. The Chihuly Garden and Glass Museum (photo below) is located on the grounds with the Space Needle.  Downtown Seattle is walkable and lovely.

4.  Before or after, Port Townsend is 1.5 hours North on the Peninsula and is a small historic town. It's emphasis is wooden boat building.  

5.  Poulsbo (a Norwegian Town)  is a very small town 25 minutes from Seabeck that is also lovely.
